Anderson Hemmat Hired to Take on Tragic School Bus Death
The parents of 11 year-old Annaliese Backner has hired Anderson Hemmat to pursue a lawsuit against the driver and Garfield County School District #16. The morning of March 3rd, 2022 Annaliese was running to catch her bus and the driver failed to clear their mirrors as they pulled away. Annaliese was killed after she tripped and fell as the departing bus drove off. The driver also ignored other children who were yelling that the girl was running beside the bus.
