Windsor, CO (August 12, 2019) - A semi-truck vs. pickup truck crash results in two fatalities and serious injury at Eastman Park Drive and Great Western Drive intersection in Windsor, CO. Two men from Greeley are dead and a Loveland man was hospitalized with serious injuries after a tractor-trailer struck a pickup in east Windsor on Sunday the 11th.
The 37-year-old driver of the commercial truck with trailer and his 63-year-old passenger died after running a stop sign and crashing in to a pickup truck driven by 37-year-old David Poole of Loveland, according to a Monday release from Windsor police. The names of the deceased will be released once next of kin have been notified.
The crash happened when the semi-truck ran a stop sign going north on Great Western Drive and crashed in to a Ford pickup driven by Mr. Poole heading east on Eastman Park Drive.
Police confirmed one person from the Semi-truck was ejected. Police said the semi-truck hit the pickup on the passenger door. The crash caused both vehicles to come to rest on their sides.
